Appointments

This is a group practice and you are quite at liberty to see any of the doctors here. However, the doctors and most patients feel it is best to deal with one doctor as far as possible. Routine appointments with your usual doctor may not be available for a few days. If you are unable to wait, an alternative appointment with another doctor will be offered.

Urgent Appointments

For urgent problems and advice, please ring between 8.30 a.m. and 10.30 a.m. and speak to our Nurse Practitioner. She will assess your problem and decide the most appropriate course of action – an appointment that day with the Nurse Practitioner, a routine appointment with a doctor, referral to the practice nurse, telephone advice, a home visit or an emergency appointment with a doctor.

Cancelling Appointments

Our objective is to provide the best service we can for our patients. But we do need patients’ co-operation to achieve this, and wasting appointments impedes our ability to see all the patients who need consultations. Consequently, if you need to cancel an appointment, we would be grateful if you could notify reception in good time, so that it can be given to another patient. You can do this here.

Emergencies

During Surgery Hours – Telephone 01746 762339. Please be prepared to provide brief details over the phone so that the nature of the emergency may be identified.

When the Surgery is closed – For out of hours visits, telephone advice or consultations at the GP emergency centre telephone 08450 20 21 31. This service is proved by Shropshire Doctors Co-operative Ltd (Shropdoc)
