Welcome & Apologies sent from J Roberts.  Visitors introduced themselves.

 

4 Shropshire Patients’ Group Eddie/Celia had attended the last meeting where Dr Caron Morton had updated members of the Commissioning Transition Progress.

Projects DNAs the practice had looked at the cost of texting options but a decision had not been made.

A & E Suzanne reported that the proposed educating marketing campaign was now a leaflet to be distributed thro GP practices, T &W PCT did not want to co-operate in other proposals.  Medicines’ Waste Reduction – Diane had been working on this issue and outlined some suggestions such as information on the practice website, measuring the amount and cost, advice on prescriptions, leaflets and letters to Care Agencies to make their staff aware of the cost/waste problem.

 

5 Southeast Locality Patient Group Eddie and Chris had attended the initial meeting held at Bridgnorth 10th October, the next meetings Monday 14th November and Tuesday 29th November at Bridgnorth.

 

6 Dilnot Report was explained and members were asked to complete the survey of opinions and send to Richard Chanter.

 

7 CInCH/LINk  Cinch is struggling, down to one director, but LINk will continue its role.

 

8 Direct Enhanced Services The student visitors to the meeting are to be involved in this initiative which is to find a telephone system that meets patients’ and practice requirements.A survey has been designed for patients to complete.

 

9 Practice Manager Update  Diane had previously reported other updates, she reported that the Practice had taken part in Pink Day, for Cancer Awareness.  The Surgery Pod is now working and is proving a very useful, time-saving investment, but alternative name options are still welcome.

 

10 AOB  Eddie reported that three people had approached him about medication collection problems at Murrays, although they had ordered well in advance when they went collect their medication it was not ready or they did not have it in stock.

Michael had printed out an attachment from Karen Higgins weekly update and suggested that its design and language is inappropriate and would not encourage people to respond, which seemed its purpose.  The people who viewed this agreed.He will send his comments to Paul Haycox.
