Shropdoc If you need medical attention outside of our surgery hours phone Shropdoc on 08444 06 8888. You will be answered by trained call handlers; they are not nurses or doctors. They will take basic details and identify any life threatening conditions which may require a 999 call to the ambulance service. You will be called back by either a doctor or a nurse usually within one hour. The doctor or nurse will discuss your medical condition with you. It may be possible to resolve your health concerns with advice over the phone or with a prescription to your local pharmacy. When appropriate, you will be offered an appointment to see one of our GPs in our Primary Care Centres or a home visit depending on the severity of your condition. |
