Patient Participation Group
Our Patient Participation Group is a group of patients interested in health and health care issues, who get involved with and support the running of our GP Practice which has 15,500 patients. Our Group includes members of the practice staff and meets every 6 weeks to decide ways and means of making a positive contribution to the services and facilities offered by the Practice to our patients.
We have co-opted the services of some patients, unable to attend our meetings, as correspondents. They receive copies of the agendas and minutes of our meetings, and make positive comments to the secretary by email or phone.
The Group has recently produced a Newsletter giving specific useful general information about the Practice, local information about healthcare and a contribution from one of our doctor’s. Other Newsletters are planned.
The Practice has excellent facilities, opened in May 2007, with 10 doctors and 7 nurses providing a range of medical care including training for new doctors. An added advantage is that the Bridgnorth Hospital is on the adjacent site.
We have vacancies, for new members, from among patients of all ages who are prepared to make a positive contribution to the Practice.
