Appointments

Non-urgent advice: Please see below for an update on Appointments and Online Consultation Services from our Senior Partner, Dr. Magill:

At Bridgnorth Medical Practice, we’re committed to making it as easy as possible for you to access our services.
You can still book online consultations directly through the NHS App, a service we’ve offered for many years. We also provide an E-Consultation service for non-urgent requests. Please note that e-consultations are for routine matters only, messages are not monitored continuously.
We offer appointments in three ways to meet different needs:

  • Online (via the NHS App)
  • By telephone
  • Face-to-face at the surgery
To make sure access is fair, we release between 25 % and 40 % of our daily appointments for online booking. This gives us flexibility to adjust to changes in staff rotas. Once the online slots are gone, you can still contact us by phone or in person to get an appointment.
E-consultations are unlimited and can be submitted at any time for non-urgent issues. We aim to respond within 24 hours or by the next working day.
Our Commitment to You:
We are currently offering more appointments than ever before, but we understand that demand remains very high.
By continuing to expand our online services, we hope to make it quicker and easier for you to get in touch and manage your care without always needing to call the practice.
Our appointment systems and patient records are closely monitored by Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin NHS Services, NHS England, and the CQC to ensure we continue to meet all quality and safety standards.
We are constantly reviewing and improving the way we work so that we can provide the best possible care and access for all our patients.
We truly appreciate your patience and understanding as we balance the growing demand for appointments with the resources available to us.

Contact us by phone Monday to Friday, 8.00am - 6.30pm on 01746 767121

Visit the surgery and speak with a receptionist; we are open Monday to Friday 8.00am - 6.30pm

You can check online services such as the NHS App to view and book a selection of our available appointments. Routine GP appointments are released one week in advance. If you require an on-the-day appointment, please contact the Practice by phone.

We will ask for some details to better understand your needs and direct you to the most appropriate services.

We may then offer you a consultation:

  • By phone
  • Face to face at the surgery

Please tell us:

  • If there’s a specific doctor, nurse or other health professional you would prefer to see
  • If you need an interpreter
  • If you have any other access or communication needs
  • If you would like a chaperone to be present
